Mounting to any wall or attaching directly to your TV. We handle all brands: Sonos, Samsung, Bose, Vizio, and more.
Transform your home audio from a basic setup into a cinematic experience. While placing a soundbar on a media console is easy, it often results in compromised acoustics and a cluttered look. Professional mounting solves the three most common audio-visual frustrations: poor sound projection, messy wiring, and safety risks.
Choosing the right mounting hardware is just as important as the soundbar itself. You don’t need to worry about compatibility—our technicians carry a full inventory of professional-grade brackets on their vans. We’ll assess your room layout and TV mount type to help you select the perfect option on-site.
For the most realistic experience, audio should appear to come directly from the action on the screen. We aim to mount your soundbar as close to your seated ear level as possible. If the bar is mounted too low, the sound will feel disconnected from the image; if it’s too high, it can cause “audio ghosting” where voices feel like they are coming from the ceiling.
The “Atmos Clearance” Rule If your soundbar features upward-firing drivers (Dolby Atmos), it needs room to breathe.
There is nothing more frustrating than mounting a beautiful soundbar only to find your TV remote no longer works. We carefully measure your TV’s Infrared (IR) receiver location before drilling. By ensuring the soundbar doesn’t obstruct the sensor or the physical buttons on the bottom of your TV frame, we keep your setup 100% functional and frustration-free.
If we are mounting above a fireplace, heat is the enemy. We calculate the safe distance from the mantel to ensure your soundbar isn’t exposed to rising heat, while still maintaining the proper tilt and angle to project sound toward your seating area.
We see it all the time: a homeowner buys a high-end soundbar and tries to save a few dollars on the install, only to end up with distorted sound or—worse—damaged equipment. Here are the three most common mistakes we fix for our clients.
We don’t just drill holes and walk away. Every soundbar installation follows a strict safety and calibration protocol to ensure the hardware is secure and the audio is perfectly tuned to your room’s unique acoustics.
A high-end soundbar loses its premium feel if there are black power cords and HDMI cables dangling down the center of your wall. We specialize in making your technology look like it’s floating. Depending on your wall type and whether you own or rent your home, we offer two professional solutions.
You wouldn’t hire a general painter to calibrate your engine, so why hire a general “gig worker” to integrate your home theater? A soundbar installation is as much about technical audio knowledge as it is about drilling holes. At Same Day Pros, we provide a level of expertise and preparedness that generic apps simply cannot match.
| Feature | Same Day Pros (Us) | Gig Apps / Handymen |
| Technician Expertise | AV Specialists. Our techs understand audio phase, eARC handshake issues, and Dolby Atmos clearance requirements. | Jack-of-all-trades. Often have no specific training in audio-visual integration or low-voltage safety. |
| Inventory on Hand | Stocked Vans. Need a 4K-rated HDMI 2.1 cable or a specific Sonos Arc bracket? We carry them on the truck. | Empty-Handed. They only use what you provide. If a cable is missing or a bracket is wrong, the job stops. |
| Structural Knowledge | Wall Mapping. We use professional scanners to identify studs, wires, and pipes before we drill. | Trial & Error. Often use “pilot holes” or cheap bubble levels, leading to crooked bars and wall damage. |
| Pricing | Flat Rate Upfront. You know exactly what you’re paying for the project. No hidden “extra hour” fees. | Hourly Rates. You are essentially penalized if the contractor is inexperienced and takes longer to finish. |
| Liability | Licensed & Insured. We carry full liability insurance. If we damage your wall or tech, we own it and fix it. | “Platform Not Liable.” Most apps claim no responsibility for contractor errors, leaving you with the repair bill. |
Absolutely. We use specialized masonry bits and heavy-duty sleeve anchors to ensure a rock-solid mount on brick, stone, or stucco. We can even route wires discreetly along the mortar lines or use a matching raceway to keep the look clean.
Yes. As long as your soundbar is connected via HDMI (ARC/eARC), your TV remote will automatically control the volume and power. We also ensure the bar is positioned so it doesn't block your TV’s infrared (IR) sensor, keeping all your devices fully responsive.
You don’t have to! While we are happy to install a bracket you’ve already purchased, our vans are fully stocked with universal soundbar mounts and brand-specific brackets (like for Sonos or Bose). We can provide the hardware on-site to ensure the best fit for your specific wall type.
We always prefer to anchor into at least one wood or metal stud for maximum security. However, if studs aren't available exactly where you want the bar, we use SnapToggle® bolts. These are rated for significantly more weight than the vibrating load of a soundbar, ensuring it won't pull away from the wall over time.
Yes, this is one of our most common requests. We can install a wall-mounted bar below your existing TV or use "adapter wings" to attach the soundbar directly to your current TV mount without having to drill new holes in your wall.
Our pricing is transparent and flat-rate. It typically depends on the mounting style (Wall-mount vs. TV-attached) and the complexity of the wire concealment. Call us at (510) 309-4426 for an instant quote over the phone!
The "2-inch rule" is our standard recommendation for the minimum clearance between the bottom of your TV and the top of your soundbar. This gap ensures you have enough room to reach the physical buttons on the device and prevents the soundbar from blocking the TV’s infrared (IR) sensor. More importantly, if you have a Dolby Atmos soundbar with upward-firing speakers, this clearance ensures the sound waves can travel freely toward the ceiling rather than getting trapped behind the TV frame.
While mounting below the TV is the most common for acoustic reasons (keeping sound at ear level), mounting above is a great solution if your TV is positioned low on the wall or sitting on a mantel with no space beneath it. If we mount above the TV, we use a Tilting Bracket to angle the speakers slightly downward toward the seating area. This ensures the audio "phantom center" still feels like it’s coming from the middle of the screen rather than over your head.
