Immersive sound. Hidden wires. Perfect acoustics. We install everything from sleek soundbars and invisible in-ceiling speakers to full 7.1 surround sound systems.
A high-end speaker is only as good as its placement. Whether you are setting up a private cinema or just want crisp music in the kitchen, at Same Day Installations, we solves the three biggest hurdles to great sound: poor acoustics, cluttered wires, and complex syncing.
Not sure if you need a discreet soundbar or a full architectural array? You don’t need to be an audiophile to get the perfect setup. Our technicians carry a variety of premium, vibration-dampening brackets and can help you choose the best solution for your room’s acoustics on-site.
For the most realistic sound, your speakers and your favorite chair should form an equilateral triangle.
The Math: If your speakers are 8 feet apart, you should be sitting approximately 8 feet away from each one. This creates a “phantom center,” making it sound like the singer is standing right in front of you.
High-frequency sounds (the ones that handle dialogue and detail) are highly directional. If your speakers are too high or too low, the sound will feel “muffled” or distant.
In a surround sound setup, the center channel handles 90% of the dialogue.
The Placement: This speaker must be centered perfectly with the TV. We mount it as close to the bottom (or top) of the screen as possible to ensure the voices actually feel like they are coming from the actors’ mouths.
Bass is the hardest sound to manage because it bounces off walls.
The Fix: We don’t just shove the subwoofer in a corner (which creates “boomy,” distorted bass). We test multiple locations in your room to find the spot where the bass feels tight, punchy, and consistent across every seat.
We see it every week: homeowners spend thousands on premium equipment, only to have it sound like a cheap radio because of a “quick” DIY install. Avoid these three common hazards that can ruin your equipment—and your room’s aesthetic.
We don’t just “hang and hope.” Every audio project follows our strict 4-point safety and calibration protocol to ensure your system sounds as good as it looks and stays securely mounted for years.
Nothing ruins the look of a premium audio system like “spaghetti” wires trailing across your floor or hanging from your speakers. We offer two professional solutions to manage the mess, ensuring your home looks as good as it sounds.
Audio installation is a science, not just a “handyman” task. You wouldn’t trust a general laborer to tune a piano, so why trust a gig-worker to calibrate your $2,000 surround sound system? When you book with us, you get a specialist who understands acoustics, not just power tools.
| Feature | Same Day Pros (Us) | Gig Apps / Handy-Man Services |
| The Technician | Audio Specialists. We understand “crossover frequencies,” “phase alignment,” and “Atmos” placement. | Random Contractor. Often a “Jack of all trades” who treats a speaker like a simple picture frame. |
| Acoustic Calibration | Included. We balance your receiver, sync your apps, and tune the bass for your specific room. | Hardware Only. They “plug it in.” If the sound is muddy or the app won’t sync, that’s your problem. |
| Cabling Quality | Pro-Grade. We carry CL3 fire-rated, oxygen-free copper wire and gold-plated banana plugs on our vans. | Basic / None. They use whatever thin wire comes in the box—or worse, they ask you to go buy it. |
| Specialized Tools | Commercial Grade. We use thermal scanners for “invisible” wiring and digital polarity checkers for sound. | Basic Home Tools. Often just a standard drill and a screwdriver. No way to test for hidden pipes or wire phase. |
| Pricing | Flat Rate Upfront. You know the price before we start. No hidden “equipment fees” or hourly dragging. | Hourly Rates. The longer they struggle with your WiFi or wiring, the more you pay. |
| Liability | Fully Licensed & Insured. If we hit a pipe or nick a wire, you are 100% protected. | “Platform Not Liable.” Most apps act only as a “referral service,” leaving you stuck with the repair bill. |
Yes. While it is easier with attic access, we can almost always "fish" wires between the floor joists of a second story. We use specialized long-reach drill bits and snake cameras to navigate the space with minimal to no damage to your drywall.
Absolutely. We use specialized "soundbar brackets" that attach to the existing VESA holes on the back of your TV. This is actually preferred for full-motion mounts, as the sound will always face the same direction as the screen.
You don’t have to. Our vans are fully stocked with professional-grade, CL3 fire-rated 14-gauge and 16-gauge oxygen-free copper wire. If you already have premium cables you'd like us to use, we are happy to install those as well.
Yes. Since we can’t go inside stone or brick, we use Option A: External Raceways. We use low-profile, paintable tracks that follow the natural grout lines or corners of the masonry, making the wires virtually disappear.
Dolby Atmos adds a "height" layer to your audio (sound coming from above). If your receiver supports it, we can install in-ceiling speakers or "height modules" to upgrade your standard 5.1 system into a 3D immersive theater.
Not when done professionally. We use "vibration-dampening" mounting techniques and ensure that in-wall speakers are tightly clamped to the drywall. If we find a loose stud, we reinforce it to ensure you only hear the music, not the wall.
Yes. Many "wireless" speakers still need to be mounted and plugged into power. We can wall-mount your Sonos, HEOS, or Bose speakers, install "In-Wall Power Kits" to hide their power cords, and help configure the app on your phone.
For the best experience, surround speakers should be about 1 to 2 feet above ear level when you are seated. This helps create an ambient "sense of space" rather than the sound firing directly into the side of your head.
